I was thinking about the Mr.Heater Buddy the smaller model.

Have one of these that attaches via frame to cabin door using ss/bolts> ss/hex nuts and ss/locking nuts. It'll blast you out unless on lowest setting. Use a 750/1500 watt thermostatically controlled electric heater when anchored up with a Honda ei2000 as power source.

I got one too, works great but also don't use it while running.

It will blast you out, put it on for 10 min and your good for a while.

Yep, won't stay lit if bouncing around due to safety switch. Used it when running in calm waters, but won't stay lit unless fairly level.

I have a 2120 and the same heater, I thought about mounting it on the door but if I have an extra jacket ect on the bench or back of the captains seat it would make me too nervous. I just sit it on the floor below the door or in front of the porta potty (with out the seat cover of course). I do use it when running in the bay (calm water of course) it will shut itself off if rocked around. The problem I find up here on long island is that the windows will fog up if i leave it on too long with the cold air and warm boat (from the heater and the sea temp)

Check out an ORIGO HEAT PAL 5100. Have been using one for 11 years.
Alcohol fuel, non pressurized, rustproof (aluminum and stainless), doubles as a simple stove, needs no priming or preheating. I use about a litre of stove alcohol per days fishing. West Marine (model #171306) , Page 358 in the 2009 master catalogue.

I had a Mr. Buddy Heater but in the heavy waves of the Chesapeake Bay-Bridge-Tunnel (CBBT) complex in Norfolk, VA, it would go out. The tip-over sensor was too sensitive.

I've since switched to a Coleman Blackcat and wouldn't go to anything else.

It is stable in rough seas, and puts out enough heat to take the chill out of the cabin area without getting so hot as to be a hazard.

Pork, that heater doesn't shut off with the bouncing??

Does it shut off if tipped over??

I like it, looks a little smaller than the buddy heater too. Hmmm...

I've got a heat pail for over 15 years. That thing is great, quick heat, very small flame, you can heat food on top of it and I think of all the heaters you can use it's probably the safest.

Only draw back it that alcohol comes in metal cans and the cans leave rust mark everywhere. I put mine in a plastic bag to stop that problem.
