Bryan and I decided to add a pulpit to my 2320 on Saturday night. We didnt feel like moving the nav light so we decided to just go around it. Pic below of the finished product, we are pretty happy with the way it came out. Bolted it up yesterday with lag bolts.

Good project with a lot of beers involved 8)

Did you remember to pick up a few more 1/4" galvanized lags today??

I don't like the two you had in there, really think you need to go with four.

Uhhhhh, it should be through-bolted with SS hardware, at lest 5/16" I'd use ...

Regular steel lag bolts seem better suited for this type of project. In a few months they will give you that rustic work boat look.

I also agree with adding the second one on the starboard side which would be an advantage when double anchoring.

Don't forget to attach a drink holder to each one as well so the guy up on the bow that is dropping the anchor has a place to put his beer without it spilling while they are up there.

We are going to stick to one pulpit for now to see how this one holds up, the drink holder is a good idea! But we dont want to take the strength out of the pulpit.

Is it me ... or is there just sooooooooo much sarcasm intoned or injected into this post and the various replies ... that's it is like a reality show? ... I don't know what's real or not ...

its a joke. Bryan and I were building the front part of my winter frame on Saturday night and we took that picture and decided to post it here to see if someone would call us out on the fact that it looks ridiculous. I am pretty sure Grouper Jim caught on from the beginning.

We will be starting a pulpit project on my boat however still try to figure out some details etc...

From now on, you'll be known as Capt. Cockeye...
