Looking at a possible project boat. Its an 1801 with a 115. Year is a 2003. The hull its self looks to be good from the pictures. The owner says it has some electrical problems but engine can be started from under the cover. The deck also has a soft spot on the deck around one of the hatches. An aluminum trailer is also included. Curious on what a value on this might be?? Maybe i should get a survey done on it? Any thoughts would be appreciated
Thanks

A survey on an 18' center console probably won't tell you much more than what you already know, or can see upon inspecting it yourself.

A soft spot in the deck can easily be repaired, either by you or your local glass guy.
Wiring should be pretty straight forward as well.
A call to the factory with the boats HIN might even get you a wiring diagram you can follow.

Price is always negotiable.
It all depends on the difference between what the seller is asking, and what you are willing to invest knowing that you will have to do some work to make her serviceable.

Sounds like a good project to me depending on how you negotiate it.

Thanks for the input I have been looking for something along these lines for a while now. I will keep talking to him and see what other information i can get.

Thanks

What is he asking for this boat now? It doesn't sound like too much of a repair. I would bet the wiring is good, just needs cleaning up.

He currently is asking 7k. Thats kind of what i figured with the wiring doesnt seem like to much work, would be decent winter project.
