2008 2530 with twin 225 Yamaha 4 Strokes. Issues were that the boat is stern heavy like most of the other Parkers. Small Diameter prop that came on the boat is great until there is a load on the boat. First thing I tried was raising the motor up. I started out in the lowest hole and went up 2 holes to start. Boat ran fine until i went out in some nasty stuff so i lowered the engine down 1 hole. So the engines are left in 1 hole up from the lowest setting. Things it alleviated were gets out of the hole quicker, much better economy at low speeds/idle zones, able to trim the motors more without causing poroising action, and easier steering at speed.

Next on to the Props. I am copying this from the Prop Gods Website that i wrote on already.

Heres a lot of information.
I bought the boat with the black yamaha stainless props that were 13.5 x 19.
Top end was fine and when the boat was light it was fine. but as soon as you put a load in it the MPG is changed drastically. Also, this boat is very stern heavy and with the pilot house it requires a lot of tabs to be able to tolerate it.
This props also had cup added by a local shop.

Performance Numbers with this prop 13.5 x 19 Yamaha Black -
1 Person and 50 Gallons NO Gear
RPM MPH GPH MPG
3000 21 13.8 1.52
3200 25 14.9 1.67
3500 29 16.7 1.73
3700 31 17.8 1.74
4000 35 20.6 1.69
5000 40 25.8 1.55
WOT 53 5800 RPM
I tried the Mirage Plus 17 and overspun it quickly and Tried the Yamaha Saltwater II 15 x 21 and couldnt spin it out. Then i raised the motor 1 hole and the boat performed alot better.
Ken sent me two more props and here are those numbers

Rev 4 14x19
RPM MPH GPH MPG
3000 18 13.7 1.31
3200 22.5 14.3 1.57
3500 26 15.4 1.68
3700 29 17.7 1.63
4000 32 20.2 1.58
5000 43 28.5 1.5
WOT 6100 RPM 53 MPH

Mirage Plus 15 x 19 RPM
MPH GPH MPG
3000 15 14.8 1.01
3200 18 16 1.125
3500 30 16.3 1.84
3700 31.5 18 1.75
4000 34 20.7 1.65
5000 43 29 1.48
WOT 6100 55 MPH

The Rev 4 and Mirage Plus were run back to back in the same area with the wind and without. 1 Person and about 90 gallons of fuel. Differences that i could tell. The motors did not sound as loud with the Rev 4 on it. Also the motors were not sucking as much gas at any particular RPM. The Mirage Plus felt stronger and felt like it had more pull in the midrange. Much slower out of the hole than the Rev 4 also.
The main difference i did notice was that the Rev 4 gave a completely different ride by raising the rear of the boat allowing the cutting part of the hull to hit the waves first as opposed to the planing portion. Both props could spin out to 6100 RPM. Motors are still mounted in the same height that they were when i tested the original prop. Still undecided about which prop im leaning towards. was hoping for some better fuel economy real light. but it seems that these props stay relatively the same no matter the load.

Ken sent me over a set of the Bravo 22 pitch. Spun them up to 5900 at WOT. Cruise was about the same as the Mirage at 1.8 but it was at a lower RPM 3100 @ 26 mph. Also, the Bravo didnt feel like it held the boat as well as the Rev 4 did. So in conclusion after raising the motor up 1 hole from where it was originally mounted all the say down and testing 5 props I am sticking with the Rev 4 19 for the following reasons.

1. Holds the boat very well in wind and chop.

2. Fuel economy stays nearly the same in rough or calm waters and with and without a load

3. Motor seems to be less noisy than any other prop.

4. Ride of the boat is completely different. Much softer landings and much less bow rise.

Pretty props!!! :D

Thanks for the info, this seems a better fix than the perma's although a little more expensive, wish you were closer and I would beg for a ride.
