This prop is 10 years old. I usually get it reconditioned every 3-4 years.
It's an OEM Yamaha SS 15X17 which was painted black. After the first recondition, they painted it black again and the paint lasted about 5 minutes at 4000 rpms. At the end of this year, about 75% of the paint was gone and most of the prop was covered with surface rust. I dropped it off last week and just picked it up today. This year I asked him not to paint it, just do their thing and polish it up.
Here it what I am left with. Looks new, no ? ? ?
I am sorry I did not take a before and after photo.
Last photo is a padded "bag" I picked up for transporting this thing.
Pretty neat.
