It's been very hot down here. Hotter than normal.

My wife recently asked me to rig something up to help her cool off when we are at anchor or just idling around with no breeze to help cool us. She will not jump in the gulf for fear of sharks. Besides, when you get out of a saltwater bath, it leaves you very sticky and prickly from the salt.

Grouper Jim had rigged a pretty cool shower get up so, I ran with his idea.

Difference was that on my boat, the grab rail sits further forward and to make it reach the back of the boat would require a pretty long neck so, instead, I found a shower bracket ($15 at HD) that I could attach to the rocket launcher. It has two clamps that work for either vertical or horizontal applications.

I then bought one of those shower massager heads which actually restricts the water flow well enough to conserve water and "pressurize" the output. $13 at HD.

I told her if I see any foo foo sponges or body gels on the boat, the shower goes!

Nice set up.

Remember a true gentleman would hold the shower wand while the admiral showers!

We bought a hose and spray head with different settings to hose the kids and adults off. The soaker setting is a great shower.

thanks I have one connected to the sink and is hand held. Yours is an improvement. Some folks take a 5 gal garden sprayer and painted it black (add the Rolling Stone music here) for a portable shower and kept in the sun to warm the water

Now that's a great idea! And cheaper too!
