Take your tube of 5200 and put it in your garage fridge. I have read where people put screws in the end. I just let it harden in the gun overnight, with just enough pressure so as not to suck back in the tube. Next time I need a little, pull it out the fridge and poke a little hole up near the nozzle on the side of the tube. Leave a little pressure on there so it doesn't suck back into the tune. Stay up near the end of it will cure a piece and you can't get the plunger by it. I'm on a 4 month old tube, and it doesn't really seem to suffer.aSS by Gem or Marine Part Depot.
I'd also recommend LifeCaulk by BoatLife - very similar product, but a MUCH better value than any 3M product in that the tubes don't turn hard and unuseable before your next use ...
