Hi everyone haven't been on here for a long while, Well i repowered my 2005 2320 sport cabin with a new Yamaha 300hp 4 stroke , my old Yamaha 200hp four stroke finally let go on me in late august so i said what the heck go bigger or go home ,so I went with a 300 and let me tell you I'm so happy i did the get up out of the hole and speed is what the boat really needed, If anyone is thinking about repower i would say go 300hp ,my new motor is 20 pounds lighter than the old 200hp and i don't have to run the motor wide open with four of us going off shore any more ,the boat runs at a cool speed of 30mph/ 26kts with out any lagging , i love it and cant wait to get out there in the spring , living in the northeast ,the season is so short but it is what it is

I replaced a Yamaha F225 that was on my 2520 with a Suzuki DF300APXX back in 2019. Much better performance with the “new” engine, although it’s now got 1300+ hours on it.

PS: Stand by for the inevitable lecture that’s coming regarding placards, insurance etc etc.
