Here is a pick on a plow anchor rigged to break away so u dont loose it in the rocks.

Italian industrial high grade stainless steel swivel (WEST MARINE/Port Supply for me) on the lower hole.

They make a break away bolt system but i find the fast set is awesome with industrial zipties and under normal conditiond the ties last months in rough conditions they break and you get your anchor back...

Ps, there r three zip ties thru 3 links u cant see em.....

Why the swivel?

Good point.

Fasten the chain directly with a clevis and safety wired, and then add the swivel after the zip ties.
Best of both worlds.

This weekend I was using my newely purchased Mighty Might wreck anchor and it worked great, until the wind kicked up, 20+ knts.

After that the tines kepth straightening out and I had to use the plow, which I hate to do on the reef. May have to rig it break away style this time of year just in case.
