Rigging the cooler seat

I have an 18ft CC with the horrid cooler seat :evil: . The darn back rest will not stay in place when you lean back into it. I have seen on a Boston Whaler that their cooler seat's back rest will lock in position so it can act a leaning post. Has anyone rigged the cooler seat so this can happen?? I am thinking about putting in a leaning post but this might save me some serious coin. Thanks

drill thru the SS tubing and straight thru the


starboard stops. Get a quick release pin long enough to go thru both or at least part way into the starboard from west marine and you're all set
