I have slowly been getting an 11 year old 21SE back into shape after years of neglect. I added an electronics box without the cut-out so I could flush mount the electronics. The boat had a serviceable Lowrance HDS5 Gen 1 unit and since i am on a budget in it went. I made the cut out next to it as motivation for a second unit. Since I turned 45 last week and have been working my tail off, my lovely wife and kids gave me a wonderful present - a Lowrance HDS8 GEN2 unit. Its an easy install, but since I am banged up physically, it was slow going. But what better way to spend a Sunday (o.k. fishing, beer, football, beer, etc are better). Last on the list is to install a flush mount starboard box with locking door to get the junk out of the box in the pic - I have leader, jigs, scissors, superglue etc. always laying around. Oh and the beer holder also went in. I have owned a lot of boats, and this one has exceeded every expectation. Here's the semi-finished product
