Can anyone tell me how to remove and replace the zinc on my 06 150 yamaha F150 TXR? This is a great site and I have visited the web site of boatzincs.com as sugested by other members posts. I can't find my exact motor listed but size specs look like they match up. I do not see any bolt on my zinc for removal which also will be a problem. All help and sugestions are appreciated.

Salbrent, Thanks for your help. I looked at the yamaha site and could not find a diagram. It did say that the anodes should be replaced by the dealer. I have changed all the other zincs but just do not see how this one comes off.

Thanks for your help. I pulled off the cap and tried to look inside. It looks like it goes all the way down to the zinc but I could not see any bolt. I am going to order all the zincs. I will pull the cover off the motor to get a better look. If I do not see the bolt I guess I will need to have the dealer install it. If I find the bolt it might take a special tool to reach it.

The trim tabs are not a problem. This is on the lower unit directly behind the prop. I think the bolt is under the cap but I cant see it now. If I pull the cover off to get a better viewing angle I think I will be OK with the socket and extension.

yea, thats the one that FF is referring to. its the same as on my 150 SS. youre right on about the bolt under the cover, get a long socket or a socket extension and youre in business.
