I was in the box store buying sand paper for the annual bottom painting and ran into a builder friend of mine. He quickly pointed me to the dry wall section to buy wire mesh, not sand paper, and a swivel head to hold on a roller stick. 120 grit( out of 80) did the whole bottom with one sheet of mesh. The mess also worked great to sand the tabs. I do use ablative Hydro coat so easier job at the start.
I painted the tabs and bracket this year with CFA from West Marine with 6% Eco stuff and 2% zinc derivative. No more Trilux, that stuff didn't cut it.
