I need sandpaper for gelcoat repair.
Is wet/dry sandpaper from auto repair shop ok to use?
I couple of sheets of 600, 800, 1000 grit

That's what I use. I always soak the paper in water for about 20 mins. before using.. I got that tip from my glass man..

in case you didnt know there are places that sell it by the sheet. I feel $15 for a package of 1000 grit will last two lifetimes.

3M makes a pack with all the grits in it too for about $5.
