Was that already on the boat when you bought it? Any idea how it works? It looks like you have the yamaha binnacle still do you have electric or cable controls from there?

When i hit transfer button i distinctly hear an electronic sounding ziipppp.zip
then it effortlessly glides no feeling like my past boats super smooth so am assuming it is electronic and i peeked and don't see any shift cables running back.... so i am assuming it fly by wire but ill be out at my boat next month and sneak a longer peek

Not trying to be a pain about it. I just didnt see the manufacturer that you have as an option when I was looking to do my tower and would like to see how much it is because it looks like it would be a good system. My controls are cable shift and cable throttle to the first control box. Then the throttles are cable from those first control boxes directly to the motors. Then its an electric shift from the first control boxes to the second. They do that so you can only shift from one station at a time. I dont have to hit any buttons to activate a station. It works by whichever station is in gear first wins. Then its cable from the shift boxes back to the engines.

yes when i am in neutral i can go to

either station and drive but once in gear at either station i have to put it into neutral and tap a transfer button not the greatest design but REAL smooth shifting REAL SMOOTH and extremely responsive the button it to keep people from playing with the wheel that is not in use and prevent IDIOTS from "ACCIDENTALLY" playing captain when they shouldnt. It is part of my system.

I cannot tell you how many times i've been in cabin driving only to look back 2 c my crew playing with wheel !!!!

Safety first ( The switch is only causing a 1 second delay)

The system in RN's photos is a factory OEM setup.

CP member Boatron brought a 2820 (with zero hours on it) to the 2006 CP Rendezvous and I shot this photo of the control boxes.

Can't tell you anything about them, but these controls have been in use at least since 2006.

Good point. I dont have the outside station so I dont have too many people messing with the wheel. But you can still use either wheel at any time to steer the boat.

that the other picture does not include a Power station unit as pictured like mine nor the cables that you would see

THE setups are SIMILAR but not the same.....

Ill have to dig deeper....

Maybe they put it somewhere else?

Beats me. I'd never seen that system before that day.
Maybe the power module is behind that raised panel to the left?
