How did the bow-mounted trolling motor work for you guys? I am looking to get a 21SE in the coming months and the first priority will be to put a trolling motor on it for the trout/redfish/flounder fishing in the inshore waters of North Carolina. Were you happy with the lb. thrust it had or would you have gone higher in hindsight? Where did you put your 3 batteries for the trolling motor, in the console?

The thrust was adequate, though I would caution on two things: (1) in a moderate wind (10knts) its difficult to keep the boat positioned, the flare bow really catches the wind; and (2) if you don't have an anchor pulpit already, get one ...otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy.

But yeah, I would prob. do it again...all three batteries fit neatly on the floor of the center console with an on board charger mounted to the bow wall...still had plenty of room for other storage as well.
