You should sweet talk your dealer into pulling one off a motor in inventory, OR tell yammie if they don't have a p-head in stock in a reasonable time they really need to swap out the whole motor. Or, perhaps parker has a moter thay can ship to the dealer.... The sueaky persistant customer gets back on the water faster. You need to be a polite PITA.

well good news, I got her back today!! 3 weeks later, but Tri state stuck with it and replaced the power head. Yamaha covered everything under warrenty which made this a lot easier to deal with. Boat ran great tonight, took the kids tubing. we have to do the hole 10 hour break in time again. but I can deal with that. Still no real explanation as to what caused it all, but carbon seems to be the problem.

thanks to TRI STATE MARINE they did keep their word and get it fixed with goo service and even cleaned up the boat for me. I would recommend them highly

good for you. it is very unusual to hear about serious problems with those 4 strokes.

Very glad :d for you and that you got it back, but I myself would not have gone tubing on that p'head until AFTER the break-in period ...

i would have agreed with you, however yamaha said because of the speed varying so much tubing, they would recomend it....crazy but so far so good.

OK, now I feel better :) and thanks for reporting back. Believe me, wasn't trying to beat on you, I was just as surprised as you apparently were.
