Splashed today in the PAX river vicinity of Solomons Island, MD. Wind was terrible, so I turned up river and poked around some of the coves and creeks I had never explored before. Finally ended up at the "Sea Breeze" restaurant and bar. Managed to dock her in the wind first time (guess this old Army guy is learning some Navy tricks). Great crab cakes...probably best I've ever had.
Boat ran well. Tickled 40 mph at 5,600 rpm with 80 gal of fuel and myself (no fishing gear or ice).
When I got back and washed her down and parked her in the trailer slot I'm assigned, I took a clipboard and began writing. OMG, what a list of deferred maintenance I've got to work off:
Boat:
Load WD-40, SaltAway, and Clorox spray bottles
Install new TACO rod holders (need hex wrench)
Install new tube lights in cabin (already purchased)
Load trolling weights
Clean windows and install Army stickers
Remove, clean, and polish vinyl curtains
Purchase new flares
Purchase and install tennis balls on antenna tips
Reinstall deck flood lights (loose) (look at using only one (LED) in center)
Install mic clip (need drill and small SS bolts+nuts
Lower fly-rod holders
Electrical:
Install heavy-duty + and - cable terminal posts
Clean all terminals and wires
Check battery fluid levels
Wire Garmin to Raymarine NMEA junction box
Install 2009 fishing sticker
Trace intermittent GPS signal
Lower depth/speed/temp sensor
Load second chair
Check rubber bottoms on first chair
Install new metal trim sensor ring on port motor (already purchased)
Anchor:
Remove old rode and cut off chain
Splice chain to new 300' spool of 1/2” line
Install new rode (use old rode for dock lines)
Organize medical kit (use new orange box)
Sospenders:
Check CO2 bottle
Check strobe
Move strobe to higher position
Swap out old dock lines for new ones (already purchased)
Oil analysis:
Order oil analysis kits from Herguth
Send in oil from Tri-State January sample
Clean and wax hull
Order and install port-hole window splash guards (bmail Kevin)
Obtain 16” x 13” SS plates for trim tab expansion
Trailer (put boat in transient slip and bring trailer home):

Remove and service
Install new SS cable
Service pulley
Boggies:
Replace 8x plastic rocker bushings
Replace 8x large 'U' bolts (related to bushings)
Replace 16x small 'U' bolts (related to boggie bars)
Brakes:
Assemble parts to install second set of Kodiak disk brakes
Assemble parts to install new hydraulic lines (now tandem)
Order and install electric-over-hydraulic actuator
Order and install electric brake controller for cab of truck

Order and install new guide-ons
Tighten spare tire bolts/nuts
Cut off front roller hangers (too high) (spray with galvanizing paint)
