I know there are many threads on spotlights and I read them all, so as for mounting, the only place that seems to make cents for no glare according to all I have read , mount somewhere on the pulpit anywhere else will give glare, I ordered a Golight, am going to make a custom mount out of aluminum and mount over the windlass I think, as that is a place that is dead space except for the anchor, and I figure if i make it good it will look and work perfect , will post picture when complete !

It still may reflect off the pulpit though, try it first.

I was thinking of mounting a light under the pulpit for night time use. My father has a Chris Craft Tournament 30 with that setup years ago and it worked well to give off some light.

I'd love to mount a spotlight also. The glare issues have been holding me back for a while now.

I ordered the Golight, so once it is here I will begin to experment on the mount, I have a good picture in my head, just have to build the mount, so will post once i start the process and the result, i did install a light under the radar dome and below the hardtop, when it is on it is good as long as you are not trying to see anything in front of the boat :), but it lights up the front deck perfect, so it is bascally useless, and the docking lights I installed work well, but if you stuff the bow in the wave they pop inward, so I would not recommend cutting the holes to install docking lights, I am removing mine, as it was almost a diasiter a few weeks ago in some really rough water, so now have two holes to gelcoat :( trail and error is a bitch :)

Well the link for the go light is where I ordered it, but after 3 days I called AO lights, they no longer sell, so refered me to Magnalights, they are about 80.00 cheaper and very helpful, I started building my platform and took pictures, once complete with light installed will post the process, should have the light Friday and finished Sat if it does not rain, but magnalight has alot of choices and colors and all kinds of mounts for the golight, so if my mount sucks, will order a mount from them, but I want it as close to the front as possible :)
