Stand off distance Center Console to Heln Bench, 2501 Cc

New tackle station ready to install. The fiberglass tech sealed the previous holes and finished off deck leaving no alignment marks (not what was requested).

What is the stand-off distance from the center back bottom edge of the console to the center forward edge of the bench base (which previously was the large live well) Possibly the access plate can be used as a reference?

Currently I have the bench base back 22 1/2” or 10” back from the center of the access plate. We have the base well aligned with the centerline of the boat.

Will be using ss toggle bolts to secure base to deck.

Any info greatly appreciated.

This is one of the best parts of installing a custom seat. YOU get to make that call.

There isn’t a “standard” distance. Your best bet is to put it on the deck and sit in the seat, stand at the helm, and position it where it fits you. (Have a friend help you if you’re worried about it sliding around while you do this.) Pick a good spot where it fits well and feels right, and install it.

Keep in mind how you like to use the seat- do you drive sitting or standing? Spend a lot of time leaning on the post or sitting across the seat, facing sideways, feet on part of the console, etc.?

You’re spending a whole bunch of money on a custom seat- the answer to your question is, it should go wherever YOU want it to go.

Uncanny, friend said same over the weekend. Hear that, he has similar layout on 2016 GW 27. Today we took those measurements using the GW. Plan to do same on the Parker. Two issues; 1) moving bench back reduces rear deck fishing area, 2) how much flexibility to move. That is, what planning went into placement - metacentric height (just an example).

Guaranteed the engineering is not that precise where the position of the seat within a few inches would matter. Think of it this way, the boat has to be designed to withstand the weight of 6-8 fat guys moving all around it all day. Couple hundred pounds of installed weight moving fore or aft a couple inches won’t move the meter.
