THe boat had a stereo and equalizer that had long since worked when i bought it. I cut the knobs off and ripped the speakers off since it didnt work anyway.

I finally finished my project after 6 years of ownership and procrastination. My new slip is close to my house and its nice to go and work on it before and after work.

I bought the box speakers with my port supply card at WM, got me %66 off, so $33. THe stereo was on sale already so my PS card didnt help, got the stereo for $120. It included the wiring, head unit, speaker wires, and two 6" speakers.

I cut two holes in the console in the cabin for the 6" rounds, and wired the box speakers under the gunwale. The sony comes with an aux port, and available ipod dock (i'll just use the aux port for the ipod should I use it)

for tunes I am using Pandora radio from my motorola droid through the aux port. I also installed a 12vdc power port so my droid won't die. I'm finding it far superior to satellite radio lately, since I can thumbs up or down a song.

Cool Install Jim. Interesting tip on Pandora through the Droid. 8) Where does the Droid hang out when it's plugged into the Aux for the Stereo?

it sits right up on the dash for now, the teak trim keeps most stuff from falling off...i have a rubbery case for it so it doesnt slip and slide much. I'm going to put a handheld VHF / cell phone cup whenever i remember to get to WM so it will better stay out of the way

Nice install. I love Pandora. I use it on my Storm 2 in the car all the time. another one you might want to check out is Iheartradio. I got it as a free download from blackberry.com

Very nice, I installed the same speakers but I put them behind in between my rocket launchers on top..
