does anyone know if there is anything 6" in front of the cabin drain in a 2007 2120sc, thinking about putting in an access hole to the bilge. any suggestions? good or bad idea??

I took some pics on a plant tour that may help you. Unfortunately, I don't have an ideal angle of the cabin bilge area. In leu of having a scope, may a suggest just taking a wire clothes hanger and after straightening it out, put one 90 degree end in it that's about 12" long. Stick that in the drain hole and point that bend towards the bow to find that next bulk head. I do think that you have enough room to put that access plate though. If you end up doing it, take pics as I think putting one there is a good idea also. By the way, these pics are of a 2320 hull but the stringers are the same forward of the fuel tank so it should still be relevant. Good luck.

Last winter I cut out the deck plate in my 2003 2120 cabin sole and put in a big ol bomar hatch. Can't remember the exact deminsions of it but I could store 5 gal buckets in the bilge now.

Can you post a pic of your hatch? I would like to see the positioning of it.
Thanks
