Striped Bass Fishing

Good day out fishing yesterday. Weather was beautiful, although still had ice on the boat when we left in the morning.

Looks like a great day of fishing. This was the time of the year that my area got ready to catch these monster stripers and why I bought my 2320. Unfortunately Omega fishery has destroyed that for the Chesapeake Bay Area. The stripers primary food source is menhaden, as seen in one of your pictures, and the bay use to be home to billions of them. Now, they are all but gone. All we can catch are residential stripers about 19-23 inches. Sad that money and politics can kill this wonderful fishery for us sport fisherman.
