My family is helping to support a cause. My oldest son Will lives with Eses which is a form of epilepsy that causes seizures in his sleep. It is controlled with medication but as he grows things change.
We will be doing a walk to raise funds to support the Epilepsy Foundation. There is a two mile walk on March 28, 2009 in Washington DC. I have asked all of my friends and co workers as has my wife to support our team with donations. It is amazing how a few dollars from a few people add up to quite a bit of money. When seeing the support given to "theotherline" on this forum I thought why not see if a few more dollars can be added to the pool. Please visit our site at the link at the bottom of the page. Times are financially difficult but even the smallest donation is appreciated.

Thanks from the Gerhard Family

B-Mail me with the details of the walk. I'd like to walk with you (assuming my boss doesn't send me to LA that week) and toss some $$$ into the kitty ta boot.

Better than that, post the details of the walk...there are a lot of CPers in the DC area.

Thanks Dave. We have two boys as well, Will is 10 and Alex is 7. We also got our girl three years ago. DONE!

I must say our team has grown already. We have two families that are joining us that day with their kids taking us from five to 14! It would be amazing to have some CPers there too! If anyone wants to join us all of the information is at the link above. There is a spot to donate and a spot to join. Joining in is also donating as there is a cost involved.

Prayers are always welcome but I would rather we send them to the families that really need them. There are families out there that have children that suffer far more than ours. We are thankful that we have everything under control and good docs in the Philadelphia area that keep it that way.

In 48 hours we have raised over $500.00 and surpassed our goal. We have now changed our goal to $1,000.00.
