The new Susuki 300hp with 3X16X17p prop on my Parker2320 is runnimg good now... but not great.  I started off with the wrong prop and never made on to plane with a  3X15 1/4X19p.  After seeing the world of a differance the new prop 3X16X17p made I want to try it again before messing with the engine height.... parker gives you five options on motor height,  mine is on the lowest hole but thats nother thread.  The subject at hand is the perfect prop.   fyi -If I had a choice I would care more about speed then fuel consumption.
My 3 options I am concirdering  (1).  3X16X18.5p  (2). 3X16X20p  (3). 3X16X22p

Pre Trip stats not fully loaded: (3 adults 100 gallons of fuel)45k rpm 25kts
53rpm @31kts  @1.75 mpg
6K rpm 37 kts
45-50k rpm sweet spot for 2 mpg
plane around 35rpm

Trip stats fully loaded: (5 men- 100lb ice - 65 gallon bait tank - 150 Gallon fuel & lots of gear!)
Max rpms I can get 57k @32 kts  @1.38 mi/gal
Plane around 35- 45krpm

Answers I need help with.
1. Should I be happy with these numbers?
2. Prop size and theory why?
3. Noticing more vibration and noise?
4. Anything I missed?

Best to all,
Sicerely thankful for this community
-Ralph

Most people try to get the motor height set correctly before trying different props. IMO I’d get that set correctly first then move forward.
