Does anybody by chance know what the circular black buttons are for? Please see picture.

Does anybody by chance know what the circular black buttons are for? Please see picture.
They are covers (boots) over push-button circuit breakers. The breakers provide circuit protection for each individual circuit. Should you get a short or an overload, the breaker will trip; to reset it, you push in on the little black boot and you should hear it click back closed.
