Thoughts on this bait tank

I guess it depends on what kind of bait you plan to keep.
The ad says it has an "air control", but no mention of provisions for a water inlet/outlet.

We use bait tanks of that size here in the Chesapeake for keeping Spot alive, which are then live-lined for Rockfish.
The only way to keep the water clean, and the bait alive, is to circulate water.

So it depends... what kind of bait will you be keeping, and can your boat handle an extra 250 pounds plus in the stern?
8.35 pounds per gallon (fresh water weight) x 30 gallons = 250.5 pounds, plus the weight of the tank itself.

Just some things to consider.

I have one of these tanks a 15 gallon. I keep bait all day with no problem. You do not have to keep it running all the time. I turn it on about every 10-15 minutes. Also I dump water in the top with a bucket about once every hour and a half. Never a problem keeping bait. I put about 30-35 spot at a time in tank. They love it. Just let water overflow onto deck it goes right out the scuppers and helps keep deck clean.

Also it is great size for transporting bait in your car or truck from beach etc. to boat. I give this tank a great rating would not be without it.

That Amazon tank looks ok. We use this style tank because of the style and size. The taller tanks is great for mounting in the middle of the boat and the small tank fits under the gunnel. Also there are no pre drilled holes so you can customize your plumbing set up.

Looking for thoughts / oppinions on this bait tank for my 2320. and any other suggestions for other tanks. I know I can make one out a trash can etc but this is something id like to leave on the deck of the boat so i want something that looks half way decent.

That is the same tank I use, I drilled holes and plumbed it to my specs, will hold about 15 to 20 bunkers

Thanks for all the replies i went ahead and ordered that tank, only 11$ to ship it thought that was a good deal.
