I am looking to build a tower for my 2530. Can anyone tell me where I can find a tower control box?

... and remember you'll easily spend over another $1,000 just to rig it yourself ...

Your showing 2 hoses from Crows Nest Helm to Main Helm.

It takes 3 hoses. The 3rd is a bypass hose. The only way to buy a single hose is thru Teleflex in Limerick,Pa. They are always sold in pairs otherwise. Oh and it will cost 75% of what a pair of hoses cost.

I still have the extra 14ftr from the install on the Mako.

Did some checking also on the DF-300. Which is Fly-By-Wire. The 2nd station control Kit is $2K

You are correct, but I ignored that 3rd hose on purpose as it is not the same braided expen$ive hose as the typical hydraulic hose ... being nothing but a thick-walled PVC or PTFE. Plus this is a standard item in the add-a-station kit that one would need.

Dale,
In reviewing your chart, I have a couple of questions.
1. Do I need to do anything with the shifter and throttle cables from the helm to the outboards (twin 150's)
2. Do I need to do anything with the hydraulic hoses from the helm to the outboards?

I have done the work on a tower before. It was with a volvo diesel, not twin outboards. I believe I am just "tapping into" the current shift/throttle head unit. The same should apply to the steering. Don't I just tap into the lower stating and run the hydraulic hoses up to the tower?

I don't believe you will just be able to "tap" into the yamaha double binnacle below.

You need electronic control box.

Ouch, with twin motors that is going to be a VERY expen$ive upcharge ...

Yes.....Do away with it and subsitute 2- twin Morse unints ...... IF you have room? Pilothouses do not have the room.

No. They are fine. There has to be a 90deg fitting installed for the Vent hose and T's for the other hoses.

If you have a Pilothouse and or do not have room for 2- Morse twin helms then you either go to the Yamaha twin station setup......If it will work with Your motor? Or get ready to spend $6K for the parts for Fly-By - Wire Teleflex.

When I put a Crows nest on my Mako, I had this problem. I found a company [No longer in business now] That I could use the factory Twin Suzuki twin controls and hook to their system. At that time it was $5K for the parts and I got a deal on it.

To install the Crows nest total on that boat cost $10,700.
