I'm looking at a 2320, but my truck has a 9800 lb tow capacity. Seems fine, but wasn't certain of total weight with full tank of gas and trailer. Does anyone know if this tow capacity is sufficient.

Thank you

The Yamaha performance bulletin lists the boat at 6227 lbs with full fuel, 225 motor, and 2 people aboard. Add the trailer weight of your choice.

I have first hand experience with a tundra easily towing my 2320 loaded down. Have towed it several hundred miles without a problem. It is my bro in laws truck and it pulls just as easy as my ram with a hemi. In fact I used his tundra to tow my previous boat boat, a triton 2690wa several hundred miles easily, and that boat was significantly heavier. This is based on the Tundra 5.7 engine. I have no experience with the 4.6l engine.

Hope this helps
Kevin

Good to hear. Thanks for the replies. I think I'm good to go :)

JMO on this but towing has as much or more to do with suspension items as it does with HP. That is unless your trying to tow over mountains or something. Handling the weight on braking and wheel the base etc are really what will get you. I pull my 2120 out with a 4cyl Chev Equinox but I wouldn't try to drive over 25mph with it or very far. My point is that HP is not the biggest factor it's half maybe. That Tundra will be fine.
