I recently picked up a 21ft cc, it's basically a hull with the console, project. I'm going to be re gel coating the exterior and I'm thinking of converting to to a full transom, and mounting the motor on a step. Just wondering if anyone here has done it n how they like it? At this point it's not that big of a deal to change it. The low cut transom obviously works, and I'm not aposed to get in my feet wet, I just think the full transom would be safer and give a little more deck space.

A guy named Peter enclosed a 21 DV hull. He posted step by step pics on this forum. Don't know where the thread is, but had some pics on my computer as I was giving him some advice at the time.

I also added a DIY tutorial of how we took a 22' Stratos deep-V CC and enclosed the transom, added a floation motor bracket and a new Suzi DF250 to it ...

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll look into those threads. My boat is a deep V, not sure how to post pics yet, maybe I'm havin problems cause I'm using an iPad I don't no....

I have owned Passing Thru for 3 years now. The boat runs really well with the hpdi 200 mounted on a bracket, not sure if I would mount a heavy 4 stroke on there though. The bracket also has a large 30" wide flotation chamber which helps to counter the additional weight so far aft on a smaller hull. I have been out on a friends 2120 and the ride on my boat is drastically different (it handles like a bigger boat) You will have to mount larger tabs to offset the change in center of gravity, all in all very happy with the results . Another added bonus is less engine noise

Ok guy I stopped by the local Parker dealer in Costa Mesa Ca (west coast marine) and talked to a guy named Kevin, real helpful guy. Anyhow he gave me some info to figure out my hull model, and its actually a MV hull modified V. I was hoping it was the deep v model since I'll be using the boat in the ocean. Is there a significant difference in performance between these hulls. Also kinda interesting I looked up my vin# and my boat was originally auctioned with a Honda 225 four stroke, sure wish I was able to pick it up at the auction like that.
Most other boat company's only have 1 hull design for say a 21ft cc. What is the MV hull designed for? Is it more of a fresh water boat, rather then ocean?
Sorry to jump around on the subject...
