We finally got out in our new-to-us 2520 for an hour on Sunday afternoon. The Yami 250 ran like a top. I was able to trim the motor by feel and ear but I noticed that the trim meter is inop. Something more to fix! When I added it to the dealer's mechanic e said that it's probably the sensor on the motor, which will require hauling the boat out of the water. He also said that they are unreliable and don't last long. That's contrary to my son's experience on his 250.
What say the group.

The switch/indicator is located at the pivot point of your motor and can get 'stuck' do to dirt or corrosion.
Once you find it, you can sometimes lube it with WD40 to free it up. After that, give it a shot of CorrosionX.

If they really get bound up, they can break and will need to be replaced.
