I just noticed that the trim tab on my Yamaha 150 is missing. Looks easy to replace and only about $20.00. But how do you adjust it. I remember the old on was a little off center. Do you just point the boat straight and see if it goes left or right and then move the tab to compensate?
Has anyone else lost one? Does it really make much difference on a 2120 SC? Seems like a small tab for a heavy boat.
TIA

Did the bolt fall out and let it go, or did it break off leaving the baseplate in place?

If the former, then use locktight on the next one. If the latter, you may have picked up a piece of wood or a crab float and it got jammed just right to break off the tab, but not cause any other damage.
