Trim tabs

I have a 21se and am getting ready to commission it for the spring.

Hate to ask such a stupid question but if I am going to paint the tabs with eco hrt and replace the zincs….

Do I detach the tabs from the boat so that they hang and then the tab will be 100% vertical then I paint both sides?

I tried to undo the 3 nuts but looks like the one through the side will be the one I want to undo….

I would assume just use a wrench and undo the bolt I circled?

Does that seem right?

yes but it may not clear the other bolt.

I was able to use a combo of crescent wrenches and ratcheting wrenches and undo the 3 bolts. My tabs are now sitting vertical. I will sand and paint the tabs then put back the 3 screws on each tab
