Trolling motor on 23SE

Any recommendations regarding installing an electric trolling motor on a 23SE. Not sure if a bow mounted 60" Minn Kota or one of the transom-mounted configurations like the Minn Kota Trim-n-Troll or Lenco would be the best approach? Understand that a bow mount would provide the most control, but not sure if 60" would get deep enough.

Let me know if you are still need information on this question. I have a 2000 21SE with a 101 pound thrust Minn Kota Rip TIde on it. If you have not moved forward, I can take a few measurements and pictures this coming weekend. FYI, it is a great trolling motor for my boat.

I love my 23SE and would like to try fishing in the haystacks and the middle marsh areas. It seems to me that a bow mounted trolling motor would allow access to some of the shallow water in these areas. Before I make the effort I wanted recommendations from a Parker owner that has a trolling motor installed. Looking for a little confidence that the motor will work and installation advise. I believe that a 23SE bow is approx 6 inches higher than a 21SE. Any information that you can provide would be very helpfu. I keep my boat at the Crows Nest Marina on Altantic Beach and live in the Morehead City area.

Sent you an email with details on where you can see the boat..... In short I am very happy with the trolling motor. I will try to take a few pictures this weekend to post, in-case you can not come see the boat, or others on the forum are interested.

Just in-case anyone is interested, here are a few pictures of my installation. It is a 36 volt, 101 lb thrust unit. Max speed is 3.1 MPH based on GPS. Batteries seem to last a long time.
