Parkers (new and used) listed for sale on Boat Trader, Yacht World, and other services appear to have asking prices that are thousands of dollars "off the mark" in the upward direction. For example, the list price of a new 2120 with a 150 Yamaha 4-stroke is about $44,000. What would be useful to know (for both buyers and sellers) is what people actually pay for both new and used Parkers. Dealers in fact have access to this information on all used boats through a paid internet service. Suppose members of ClassicParker start posting the actual prices paid for new and used boats? That is the kind of information that would be truly valuable. Just a thought. Dealers won't like it of course because it levels the playing field.
