I bought a pack of 5 wool bonnets from my local Harbor Freight store a couple of days ago for $19.99. Great deal, they worked well.

what other soaps have you used befoe the woodysoap?

Can't recal all of them but an extreme amount. I was a detail boy/dockhand at a local marina for 7 straight summers through high school and undergrad. We would use the generic crap (usually Boat Zoap) for one price per foot, then bump up to woody wax products (most importantly on the aluminum and stainless) for a higher cost.

I know that the reason WoodyWax boat saop is great is because it has pine in it. FOr guys that fish, the pine is what removes blood, takes out odor, and does and overall killer job.

For what it's worth, we also would put a coating of woody wax metal wax on alll the stainless and alumium before wrapping the boats up for the winter. In the spring we would remove the coat and the metal would be untouched by the elements.

Sara F, you can also get the bonnets and other supplies through Amazon.

Any body ever use Fluid Film on their metal?

Someone here turned me on to this stuff and it works great on metal.

Wondering how it compares to Woody wax? It is alot cheaper and I have heard of people using it on Fiberglass but never tried it myself.

I have been using it for about 3 years now, since he recommended it.

Works great on anodized aluminum and electrical connections.

Good stuff!!

Just wondering about using it on Gel Coat.
I have never used Wood Wax but people say Fluid Film smells just like Woody Wax, just cheaper. :?:
