Bearing has to squeeze the O-ring in order for it to seal. While tightening the castle nut, I put about 3/4 turn on it between the time I felt resistance and the time I felt it go tight. I backed it off 1/8 turn (just like I always do) and installed the cotter pin.
I pull to the CBBT on Thursday. Will let you know how it all works.
Had to cancel most of my CBBT trip (only managed 2 days), but those bearings worked great. They worked as advertised...squeezing the O-ring and all. Next spring, I'm going to install the SS cups on the other 3 spindles.
Do you have any follow-ups on the speedi-sleeve install that you did a while ago? I'm installing Kodiaks and need to put new sleeves on the EZ Loader spindles according to the guys at Eastern. They sent me the sleeves with the new brakes. Any advice about sleeve removal or sleeve install? The only sleeves I've ever replace were already half destroyed and coming off on their own.
