Same boat, same motor, one with 150 gallons and one with 137. Why such a drastic difference in performance?

And, many time the performance bulletins are not accurate.
 
Performance numbers are never absolute.
Sea conditions are a big factor as is the loading of the boat on the day of the test.

You could take the exact boat out on 3 different days and get different results.
An average of the three tests would be a better indicator, or at least a 'ballpark figure'.
