My kids seem to be getting bigger and the boat stays the same. As much as I love this boat I think we need to move up. It is the classic 2320 hull with no alterations so all the features we love are there. This boat has been well cared for and is in great shape for a 1997. It has a solid hard top over half of the aft deck with room to fish behind. Strong enough for a few guys to stand on. The 4 of us used the boat for cruising and chasing surf so it was key in loading up with gear and having cocktails on the roof when the kids were sleeping. It could also be easily remove. I rarely fished the boat so the hours remain fairly low. The 300 is a 2004 yamaha HPDI. The only issue I ever had with it was the fuel pump last season and I replaced it at a cost of $1200 or so, otherwise the motor has been fantastic you just need to run the ring free through it and clean out the vst filters as suggested. I did not have the hours checked this season I would bet its around 500 hours as 2 years prior it was at 300. Rev 4 prop and a mirage plus. There is a 2004 Honda 4 stroke 20 as a kicker. The previous owner put the motors on new and chose a 2 stroke 300 so he could add a kicker without too much weight in the stern. The 2 of them weigh the same as a f250. The kicker is wired in and has controls so you can lower it, start it, raise the 300 and troll without leaving the wheel house. There is a tiller on the cabin wall to steer with. It runs well and I just replaced the cables. There is a full isinglass enclosure for the hard top creating a large indoor space great for the late fall. Other things. 3 bilge pumps, 2 big gel batteries, Garmin radar/GPS/depth unit, VHF with speaker up by the driver's ear, windlass. Trailer is a 2005 Venture with rollers rated to 9K. It has a power winch and metal running boards so you can walk out 6 feet or to to connect the hook. It has brakes although I took the pads off and capped the cables and actuator so they wouldn't rust up on me as I only tow a couple of miles a year and kept the boat on a mooring. They can easily be set back up. The previous owner kept it in a shed and ran it off the trailer. It pains me to do but I need more boat.
