    Rocket launcher rack

Kind of stole the idea from someone on the board here who had one made out of starboard for their boat. I used mahogany instead, as it was much cheaper to buy 4 feet of that ($16) than a piece of the tan starboard. Mad a pattern first out of plywood. Checked for fit, then cut the final...

    Water on the cowling

5 years and 785 hours on it so far, and the under the cowling looks basically brand new. Don't lose sleep over this one.

Smart Rails for a Parker 23 SE

For 5 years of running my 23SE, you cannot say it is any wetter than any other 23 foot center console. It is definitely more seaworthy for sure. Do you get wet, sometimes. Some a factor of the weather, some a factor of the operator.

    Chesapeake fishing?

Maybe thats why its so good up here in Jersey - All the fish just came straight up. Seriously though, you are dead on about the bait. I've seen the entire inshore giant tuna fishery here in NJ completely die as a result of the loss of the bait fish. Ever hear of a whiting ??? They used to be...

    Circle Hook Help/Advice.

Hit them a little sooner. It only has to be in their mouth to get them in the corner with the hook. By waiting that long, you are probably letting them get that chunk down the gullet.

Why not go to the Parker Dealer in point pleasant - schrader yachts. Ive always had great luck dealing with their service dept.

    Tubing questions

I bought the pre-rigged poly tube rope. Has a bridle with a swivel / pulley set up to the main tow line. Had a clip on each end of bridle that I clip to each of the tow eyes on the transom. Pulling a tube is way less strain than skis

    Finally broke the 40 mark

Well, it took 4 years on our current boat, but we finally cracked 40. To be exact, it was 41.4 pounds on a certified scale. What makes it better is that my son had the honors to be the first one on the rod this day, and as his luck would have it, this was the first fish. Bunker spoon in 65'...

Installed Fin-Addict tackle box and more

I love my footrest on my 23Se. But, yes, do be careful as it tends to really put a hurting on the ankles (and right in the worst spot too)./

    Battery question

I kind of have to disagree with you on that. My flooded cell batteries are fine in the spring. 10 years of batteries (not all the same ones obviously), but really never any problems in the spring. (Im in New jersey, so yes, it does get cold up here.) Sure AGMs are great and they will be my...

    First time using Maja Spoons

About 2 to 3 feet to the sinker. Works way better than a drail. try both and you will notice a difference in the action

    First time using Maja Spoons

Thanks POGE. No wire - Braid. I gave up on wire a long time ago. Sure it works great, but its not much fun. The trick is the hanging a sinker (or heavy lure) off a three way swivel. Takes no action out of the spoon the way an inline sinker would. Kind of rig it like a mojo rig.

    First time using Maja Spoons

And they worked great.... 46 inches and 40 inches. Never used the Tony Maja spoons before, but have always been a bunker spoon fan. Well, his produced good for me. I was using the #2 in green. 55 feet of water and had them bouncing right on the bottom.

    Kevin Bogan Rods

They are the best. Seriously. I have fished them for probably 15 or so years. Every rod on my boat is made by him, from Fluke rods, to my spinners, to my bass rods, to my bunker spoon rods, to my inshore trolling and offshore rods. You will not be disappointed, and you can customize it for...

How to bring back the Topside gelcoat shine

a long time ago, we have used wd40 to get oil based stains out of the decks. It actually works great, but you need to be really careful afterwards because the area will be slippery. I think that with the amount of products out there today, you can find something for most anuything, but if you...
