    Cleaning oxygen sensor on 1999 225 ox66

I think it can depend on how the engine is running - but on my immaculately maintained and tuned engine (cough, cough) it can get quite gunked up within 150-200 hours, to the point where the entire draw tube and most of the sensor itself is pretty gunked up with carbon. YMMV, but that is the...

    Cleaning oxygen sensor on 1999 225 ox66

Make sure you have a new gasket kit ready, you will need it. After you remove the plastic outer cover and have disconnected the two electrical connectors, use a wrench to loosen the O2 sensor while it is still attached to the engine block (like you would a sparkplug). Once you have loosened it...

    pictures probs

I'll take a shot at an answer.. When you initially load your photos from your camera into your PC / MAC, I'm assuming that some of them may need to be rotated by you, in your photo viewing/editing software, in order for them to look right on your PC / MAC screen. Then when you upload them...

... dang faster than most Parkers!!

Ive been watching them race off and on over the last several weeks. The final race for the championship will be this afternoon, going to be exciting as the USA has come back from an 8-1 deficit with 7 straight victories to tie it up. As Dale pointed out, "this isn't your grandfather's...

    Need 2100 DVCC Livewell Dimensions

I went and measured mine as well from a 1999 21' DVCC - 30 gallon livewell under leaning post. Mine was pretty close to the one listed above in the PDF, I measured 12" overall. The diameter of the drain was 1 1/2" and the height of the inside of the livewell is 13". One difference is that my...

North Shore of Boston on fire!

Dale, What size / type of circle hooks do you like? I was using Gamakatsu (8/0 I think) Octopus hooks this weekend and wasn't happy with results. I've got to find some larger in-line circle hooks to try. -- Tom

O rings or seal for the deck hatch.

No tool necessary, at least when I just did mine (13x23 Hatch). Just opened hatch all the way and used a regular screwdriver. -- Tom

O rings or seal for the deck hatch.

If the new seal doesn't improve hatches leaking, it may be time to rebed the sealant around the hatch itself.. I just went through this and it made a huge difference on my 1999.. -- Tom

Best trailer for 2520. bunk or roller?

Can anyone provide a ballpark price for a decent bunk trailer for a 21DVCC? I don't trailer enough to warrant a custom setup. As reported in a separate thread, I am facing some repairs on my current 15 year old roller trailer and will eventually need to make the repair/replace decision. -- Tom

    electronics mounting options?

I can't offer anything on usability of the unit at that angle or mounting locations, etc.. But I would suggest that when you are trying different mounting options, make sure you are viewing the screen with polarized sunglasses. Some screens are better than others when viewing at anything...

    Crack on top of transom

Bow rails are easy enough to remove, don't let that stop you. When I bought mine it had the high bow rail which really got in the way with fly fishing. They are just mounted with bolts from underneath and easy to take off. I was even able to sell mine for a couple hundred bucks. -- Tom

    Heavy Oil Usage on OX66

As stated above, you need to adjust the position of the white plastic clip so that the oil pump lever rests against the pin when the throttle valves are fully closed. In order for the throttle valves to be fully closed, you need to temporarily back off the idle adjustment screw or disconnect the...

    engine bracket on a 1801

That extra grab bar on top is key - even with the standard Parker swim ladder setup. I'm surprised its not a standard option, as it makes boarding a lot easier. Very easy add-on project with a high bang-for-the-buck factor. -- Tom

    Heavy Oil Usage on OX66

Here is the full link: http://www.classicparker.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=10944 As you have guessed, burning that much oil is not normal. I've done a few 110+ mile trips and have had plenty of oil left in the reservoir. I don't know much about the inner workings of the mechanical oil...

    Crack on top of transom

Is the crack just along the top of the 1/2" thick 'lip' of the transom notch on either side of the motor? If so, I have had that problem on both sides of my transom and have read a couple of others have the same problem. As long as it is treated promptly and sealed off so that no water can...
