I've been looking at buying a used 2006 21SE with a transom mounted motor and notice that it does not have a sea gate. Has the lack of a gate ever been problematical for anyone, particularly in a following sea with water coming in over the transom? Thanks for any info.

I recently sold my 2008 2520 and am downsizing a little. I'm now interested in a new 21SE at a dealership. The boat has no T-top or electronics but comes with a trailer. The dealer is looking for 42K for the set up. Does this seem like a reasonable price or is there some wiggle room there? Thanks

I've never had a problem with my flush mounted Garmin over the past three winters in Massachusetts. However it's located in the cabin of a 2520 and not really subjected to the elements other than cold.
