    My '95 2530

It’s full of too much good information to ever die off!

    1991 Parker 18

The bow tent is pretty cool. What’s the story on that?

    New Wiper Arm Installation

The plastic cover should pry/pop off, exposing the metal socket to be tapped on. Don’t tap too hard; it’s made from pot metal and cracks easily. You might also try taking some emory cloth and polishing up the stainless motor shaft, it can get gunned up with salt deposits and make it hard to get...

    Live well Bait tank

That’s been my experience with the Bait Sentry models as well. I had one last for 7 years, admittedly we didn’t use it often. Warthog has had inferior experiences with them, so he recommends Rule, who I also have not had any major issues with other than float switches. Different strokes, I suppose.

    New to me 1801

That boat sounds like it’s pretty well optioned already. I know it’s exciting thinking about all the ways to make your new toy better, but I’d recommend running it for a bit before adding any modifications. That way, you can find what works best for you and the way you use the boat, rather...

Can’t imagine there’s too many other Parkers out on the river. Pretty unique boat for the area!

What does the top fitting look like? Is it the bolt on plate or the round spider attachment?

Do you trailer or have a slip? We have a place in Pot Nets Bayside with a slip for the 2530, the 1700 travels around with me.

Me too, Willow Street specifically 😃 Although I spend most of my time between Norfolk VA and Long Neck DE these days. Where do you boat out of?

    Lucky Parker Owner

I’m a huge fan of the Fell Marine MOB+ electronic cut-off switches. The lanyards are such a PITA that they never get used. In my opinion, if you operate the boat alone, it should be a no-brainer to have one of these That was one of my first additions to my 1700 after running the boat a few...

    Adding Inverter

Adapter kits were located by a quick google search for “Starlink 12v power supply” and “[insert laptop brand here] 12v power adapter”. Should give you plenty of reading material. As far as the BEP switch goes, check out the search function. Tons of information about that mod has been posted on...

Regrets to inform you that CP Member 'cbigma' (Moderator) - has passed away ... RIP

Thanks for letting us know, Dale. He’ll be missed here. There’s never a good way to lose a friend. My sympathies are with you and his family.

    Adding Inverter

Most laptops actually run off DC voltage (that’s what the box in the charging cable does- converts from AC to DC). I’d bet you can find a 12v socket adapter for that too. You may need to install some more 12v power sockets, but it’s still going to be a way easier/more efficient solution than...

Welcome back! Do you have a website or Facebook page you could link to, with pictures of your work? Also, where are you located, and do you offer custom work and/or generic sizes?
  15. pelagic2530

    Adding Inverter

Are you looking to power other 120v components, or just the Starlink? A quick search shows that there are adapter kits that allow the Starlink to be powered by a 12v power supply. This is going to be a ton more efficient than installing an inverter, and you can probably get away with using your...

    Live well Bait tank

I did something very similar to that, but mine is up against my port side just aft of my pilothouse step. Since it’s against the side, the hose can run up underneath the covering board, and I installed a thru-hull fitting through the side so it can drain overboard. Works great and keeps water...

Welcome back! That 2023 is probably one of the last true 1801 models, and will hold value quite nicely when you’re looking to sell.

1801 Add Anchor Windlass Syetem (bad back)

I’ve never seen it done but it doesn’t seem implausible. You’ll need to install a bow anchor roller. Your best bet after that would likely be to have a plate fabricated that bolts down in place of the existing anchor locker hatch, and mount the windlass to that. You will almost certainly not...
