    Hardware staining and rust

Another helpful tip: before I even splashed my new 2320, I waxed her with 2 coats 24 hrs apart. . And I wiped every single piece of metal down with fluid film. I sprayed the motor with corrosion X and spray the trim tabs and every piece of hardware with fluid film. Furthermore once a month I...

    Anyone used spectrum gelcoat?

Have cecil marine ship you the gelcoat. Why use another manufacturer? Use what Parker used originally. Your coatings specialist will tint it to accommodate the uv fading on your hull. But at least start w the correct color and shade. Picture 1 and 3 that you posted should be an easy repair...

    Hardware staining and rust

BKF is awesome. It strips wax. When you reach fir your BKF, put your Collonite 845 in the bucket too. After rinsing the BKF off, hand dry and rewax immediately.

    2005 2520scxl 250hp Yamaha repower

Man I think you’d be hard pressed to beat the 4.2l Yamaha 300 motor. It’s is a very strong motor, infallible reputation. I would be curious however about twin 150 4 stroke yamahas. Also very strong and infallible reputation. The i4 Yamaha 200’s suck in my opinion. They are loud, they put out...

    Hardware staining and rust

Gemlux imports their stainless from China. They are the best in marine hardware hands down. Agreed with the “stain less” mentality. China can make good stainless... but you have to pay fir it as Gemlux does. But truly, it’s all about the bedding.

    Hardware staining and rust

The problem is simple guys. Parker Marine does a very poor job bedding their hardware. You can’t have metal on fiberglass . All those hardware pieces need to come out be cleaned and properly rebedded. That will eliminate the problem in the future.

    Minn Kota Sizing Question

Unfortunately not. The 87” requires a different puck. It’s heavy duty due to the weight and fulcrum position of the 87” shaft. But would be an easy change out. All other Terrova up to 72” DO INDEED have the same mounting quick release puck.

    Pulpit & Windlass

I have a guess: There is no bow rail. With the tower he probably will install an Ulterra so he can deploy it from the tower. The windlass and pulpit will obstruct the Ulterra installation/ deployment path. Am I close??

    Minn Kota Sizing Question

I’d definitely try what you got before buying another trolly. The 72” will Work for you 72% of the time. There are times that the foot will cavitate w waves. But 1.) you can’t buy an 87” right now as they are months from distribution 2.) they cost $3000 If it were me, I’d use what you have...

    Proper Cruising RPM's Please

On my 2320 w single 300 Yamaha factory provided Reliance prop: my minimal planing speed is 3800 rpm at 21 mph. Her best cruise is 42-4400rpm’s at 31-34 mph. But sometimes I just got to let her eat at 5500rpm and 45 mph and WOT is 5900 at 49.8mph

    New to Classic Parker

wow. that's impressive; 5600 hours on your 2320. GREAT job. I have always owned bunk trailers. I understand that the roller trailers have their place based on tidal fluctuations. But, I don't live in those areas, so a bunk trailer has always been appropriate for my application.

    Autopilot performance at speed?

Parker 2320 Yamaha 300. Simrad ap44 Rpu80 pump Nac-2 Precision 9 I can operate it through the autopilot computer controller, the evo3s’ and go12xsr in cockpit. I think there is value in networking your mfd to the autopilot. That’s why I went with Simrad AP. Works flawlessly : about 40 miles...

Simrad 3 in 1 transducer location?

I hope you’re able to materialize that plan. Others have described tablets and screens other than marine grade MFD’s in the cockpit as inhibited by the glare. I hope the tablet screen glare is not an issue for you. Worst case scenario I’ve seen go7xsr used for $450 with no transducer. You can...

    2014 Parker 2520XLD

man, oh man... that's about right. I know there are 3-4 Parker dealers on the Eastern seaboard and 1 on the california coastline that are amazing. But, the rest of them are just horrible. I have purchased 3 new parkers from the same dealership and one used Parker from a private seller. My...

    2014 Parker 2520XLD

um, no she wouldn't have. She was a horrible communicator: That is Parker's biggest downfall : they SUCK at customer service. Robin, Eric, Lynwood, all of them. I stopped calling them. And the dealers? They know absolutely nothing about the hulls. The best form of communication about our...

Simrad 3 in 1 transducer location?

No. it would interfere with water to the prop. This particular X'ducer is BIG and LONG. I wouldn't want it interfering w/ my clean water to the prop. Navico recommends just paramedian on the starboard side for standard right hand rotation motor.

Simrad 3 in 1 transducer location?

He's referring to Simrad active imaging: no paddle wheel and does rely on GPS inside for speed ( no external antenna needed): it's 3 into 1 transducer: Active Imaging 3-in-1 CHIRP, SideScan and DownScan with FishReveal. It's awesome. I have the 1kw thru hull that i watch while running. Once...

Simrad 3 in 1 transducer location?

If you pinch and zoom, you can see my 3 into 1 transducer. It feeds the Go12 XSR mounted in the cockpit. I also have an Airmar 1kw thruhull that feeds the two EVO3's in the cabin. MY TM 3/1 is coming down the starboard side of the bracket per Navico recommendations:

    2014 Parker 2520XLD

I THOUGHT it was 2018...but, clearly something else was going on a lot sooner.... maybe was going to introduce it 5 years earlier, pumped out a boat or two and then went back to the original transom. This particular 2520 w/ the "classic white" and new transom is unlike any I've ever seen...
