I keep the overhead watching the bottom so when I’m drifting I can see the hot spots even from the cockpit.

I installed the Marinco speed controller today. Each left click changes to a new selection. Each right click reverts back to the previous setting. Holding the right side parks the wipers.

The pads I installed are on the firm side; but, softer than the gunnels. didn't want them to be too soft. The surface should be clean and wax free. Peel and stick. I've had them since 12/20 and they still look new.

At least they look superficial.

The cracks appear to continue under the bottom paint (especially to the port side). If you want to save the fiberglass guy some time which equals saving yourself some money, I suggest you sand the bottom paint off to expose the entire area you want him to look at.

Honestly, to my absolute surprise, the light I mounted is still working. I haven't had to change it out. I did add longer 6" brackets because I switched to a delta anchor after I lost my claw. Of course now that Ive said something, it probably won't work the next time out. LOL

Four blade props. Completed my Navionics with a second MFD, radar, Sirrius XM and autopilot. Added the dash mat.

Another option is to mount it as I did in these pictures. You can lean over and look at it through the entrance door and you would have three benefits. a second MFD to at the main helm, its permanently mounted out of the weather and it's locked in the cabin.

The best sleep you will get on a boat. I have two large Ocean Tamer tear drop. The only compliant I have is, I had to add more beans after about 18 months. I bought one bag of replacement beans and added 1/2 to each. Trust me when I say this... it is not something you want to do in the house...

It "should be" sealed; but, unfortunately, it doesn't mean it is. It wouldn't be sealed by gel coat. More likely, if it is sealed, that epoxy was used; but, again no guarantee.

To disassemble put it into free fall by letting the capstan unwind 1-1 1/2 turns. Loosen and remove the Allen head bolt in the middle of the capstan. Push the free fall pin in and lock it with the knob (9:00 in your picture). Unwind the capstan off the shaft. Be careful not to drop it. it's...

Something isn't right. How is the alignment of the windlass to the bow roller? When you are deploying are you running the capstan too loose? You should only need to unwind the capstan about 1-1 1/2 turns for it to start free falling. You may need to disassemble the capstan and lube it up...

No; but, the two jams I had were tangled rode in the locker. Pull it back up with the windlass and let her go again worked once. The other time I had to reach through the hatch and untangle it.
