    97 Yamaha wont stay running

My only problem ever with my Yam 115 Saltwater Series was a plugged carb jet. Mine was a plugged low speed jet. It would idle but idle rough and ran fine at higher RPMs. At idle and on the muffs, I restricted the air intake, one carb at a time, and narrowed it down to a specific carb...

Has anyone ever seen this before?

Tough to tell from the pics but any chance that the stringers are curved symmetrically and purposefully? The joints look pretty tight for being built with that much sway.

Nice looking rig! Agree with tomc, most likely the float. Most of us have been through this. Get that phone figured out so we can see some more pics. :giggle:

    Parts For Sale 2009 F150

Agree! I did this with my perfectly running 115 2S 2 years ago and I had a buyer on my boat 5 days later getting to see it run through the paces. Sold for the asking price.

Let's Talk Gas Tanks on 2001 21SE - Replace Proactively?

Tunagi, if you decide to replace the tank, please let us know what condition the old tank was in and feed us some pics. Those of us still using original tanks are always curious to see what may be lurking below the deck. 🤔

What all comes with a new Suzuki outboard.

Like Wart said, mine came as a package. The dealer figured out everything that would be needed. The smile on your face afterward comes free of charge!:giggle: He did a perfect job with the prop choice also.

    1801 Trolling motor help needed,,,,,,,

Have you considered removing the railing permanently or converting it to a shorter(lower) railing that terminates short of the bow?

    Bilge rust stain Parker 1801

Sounds like a well thought out plan(y). It will be better than it was a month ago. Lousy time of year to be without the boat though!

    Suzuki Smart Guage questions

I have a 2022 model and this is the SMG4 manual I have. They should be the same.

    Fuel gauge stuck

It's doable for just about everyone. Search past posts on here, as there are some good posts for going about this. You can easily check your sending unit to verify that is your problem. For that you will need a multimeter. Check YT also, you can get a feel for what's involved.

    Fuel gauge stuck

Sending unit would be my guess. Thats kind of what mine did when it went. Confirmed when I ran out of gas.

    Bilge rust stain Parker 1801

Not sure I agree with all that work just to diagnose. It's not in a comfortable area but my remedy would be to remove the hatch, use a small right angle air grinder with a carbide burr bit and start excavating that area. Once you open up the area, you will get a feel for how extensive the repair...

    Bilge rust stain Parker 1801

Other than being in a tough spot, open it up and see the extent. It may not be as bad as you think. No one will ever see the repair, so you don't have any cosmetic issues to worry about. You got it early so I'm guessing it's not that bad. Excavate, fill with epoxy, paint over it. Is your boat...

    Bilge rust stain Parker 1801

So at least its way in the back and not forward. I would think you could get a look back there with a 2" dia. telescopic mirror and a flashlight.

    Bilge rust stain Parker 1801

Which is why I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had water staining in the bilge area for years. And then one day a 3/8 drive ratchet with a socket appeared from underneath. I'm not sure who lost it or when, but it was quite deteriorated from the rusting. Any metal down there will rust. Either...
