What comes with a new outboard? Will i need to buy gauges and controls? Anything else needed?

When it comes together it is considered a package..... But it's actually ordered as separate pieces.
Engine..... Control.....Engine control wiring..... Gauge or gauges .... Prop.
Most dealers write it as a package... That way they don't list separate items and can hide markup.
Yes, especially if your switching from a Yamaha. They are proprietary to plug in.
You may ALSO need a new steering ram.
The newest technology is electric steering... Depends on engine.

Like Wart said, mine came as a package. The dealer figured out everything that would be needed. The smile on your face afterward comes free of charge!
