    Hello from Delaware

I picked up a 1991 1700 about a month ago, found some info but as you said it is sparse. Great boat so far. See my thread in the new member forum about the 17 in Annapolis. What speeds are you seeing and how does it handle?

Thanks Kevin, I'll be around. Need to get hooked up with some locals to really learn the water.

    rotating hatches, bedding compound?

Life Caulk is a polysulfide and can melt plastic. Life Seal is said to be OK cause it's silicone/polyurethane mix. Never tried it. I used 3M4000 UV on my hatches, its a polyether not a polyurethane like 52 and 42...they don't get along with most plastics, and are not UV stabilized like the...

    Is yamalube worth it?

We have used it in our 01 150 HPDI since sticking a piston years ago. No problems since. I get it ~$24/gal bulk or bottles, but would use any Quicksilver/BRP oil for DI engines. Just as important is fuel conditioner/decarb. Ringfree Plus does both!

Thanks for the welcome guys. The boat is great so far. I looked for months before this one came on the market. Next I have to think about fishing up here. I like water pressure because it tells almost instantly about the water in the engine, where temp can take a little while to creep up...

    17 in Annapolis

New Parker owner here, I bought one of the elusive 17s that was listed a couple months ago on the board. Dragged her back from Charleston to Annapolis, and spend a few weeks getting her ready for the water. Dropped her in a slip in Eastport a couple weeks ago. Been going out a lot after work...
