I don't usually have much weight to move around, so I'm not really able to use that to my advantage.
My wife and kids love the rear seats - they basically occupy the stern bench, or sit on in bean bags, or those inflatable "bote" chairs - in the back. The difference in comfort level between the...
I don't mind carrying a spare prop.
Great advise; now I just need to figure out the hub and make sure my prop seal is the correct type for switching to Rev 4.
I may give these guys at "Prop Gods" a call. Unless anyone knows anyone in the NY/NJ area who's reputable and can help.

Thank you guys! Great info and the confirmation I was hoping for. Much appreciated.
Sounds like the Rev 4 in 16" is the winner.
@Kurt - any issues with prop chatter or any other, using the Rev 4 prop? Did you go with the Flo torque SSR SD?

I had it professionally installed by the Octopus Yachts Marine of Belmar, NJ.
If it was a single helm I might have tackled it myself, but the dual helm install is just not trivial.
I'm very happy but it is not inexpensive.
I have had a bunch of other things done, including adding a bluesea box...
Absolutely. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the install , will do next time I'm in the boat.
The pump and the ECM are mounted low on the starboard side behind the captain's chair, in the space with pass-through openings for the rod holders under gunnels, if that makes sense.
The install...
What I really mean is, I want to develop higher RPM at lower speeds for running in rough conditions.
I run completely stock and my numbers are exactly as reported here by others for his boat:
My numbers w/ the F300 and factory prop (SWS2 15.5 x 17) are the same as above, posted by @sydngoose...
Love this boat so far; feels incredibly solid, no flexing, and re-enters quite nicely if one were to (accidentally) go a little too fast over some waves.
Today was a bit sporty in the lower bay of NY, 3+ft all over, too sporty to hold the phone for pics, at least at the helm. But the upper bay...
That is worth emphasizing.
I am in the Carteret marina, which is just south of Elizabeth and Newark Bay, NJ, inside the Kill channel - about as busy a harbor as it gets with huge container ships and tugs galore, passing up and down constantly.
It is a 2-3 mile trek up or down the channel for...
I needed to cut out a clip or it would be ****, lol.
I was messing around with the AP, my wife did not appreciate me leaving the helm, lol.
Auto tracking feels a bit insane in a channel though. The great feature of this system is the "shadow drive" - you can start steering at the helm at any...
I have not had nearly enough time on the water with the new AP system for anything approaching a full review.
I'll add to this as I get more use, the first impressions exceeded my expectations. It is simply an amazing little device, doing everything from heading hold - at all speeds - to...
No leaks with the electric; that's a biggie.
The disadvantage of the new DES bolt-on electric is added weight on the bracket, somewhere between 50-100lbs, for the module. And the lack of track record, plus no choices on the AP.
We just added the Garmin AP to complement the whole Garmin setup from factory. I have not had a chance to go play with it much, yet, beyond just getting out with the installer for calibration and functional checks, but will report soon. It seems super smooth.
These boats ride pretty rough, in...
Looks like you started two separate threads on the same topic?
I just got the 2021 2320SC and was delighted it actually still came with the hydraulic steering system, while I did get the new throttles and the new CL5 gauges - best of both worlds, for now. The last thing I would want is to be...
Looks great!
I have a habit of spraying and coating everything accessible metal component in my boats and trailers with crc6-56, or corrosion-x, or both. I noticed over the years that not many people do that, makes me wonder.
