    water leaking at switches

Yes, I had drips from rain water at the switch panel too. The panel was not sealed just mounted so water and gravity made for drips in the console. It was easy to just remove the mounting screws of the panel, seal with a non-adhesive sealer. This stopped most major drips. I had one little left...

    Yamaha Fuel primer bulbs (pumps)

Good point Dale, I just realized I never squeeze the bulb in my 4 stroke, only after fuel/water sep filter change. When I had 2 strokes, yes OMC bulbs were the ticket.

    An Observation

I flush and also put the seat down  It is interesting how the temperature of the fresh water flush discharge decreases over a few minutes. Cooling off the block as well as getting the salt water out is good e'nuf reason for me. It so easy, why not. I have started to remove the little...

    23 DV CC outboard suggestion

I always feel like the 250 has plenty of reserve power to tap. When loaded with people and gear it just needs a little more throttle but the engine is not working harder to run a the same speed when lighter, if that makes any sense. It can troll too fast in some conditions but a 15 vs 15 1/2...

Does this should right? 5100rpm @ WOT

15 1/2 by 17 is a good try for a prop. adjustment. Try changing props first as the easier of the 2 task at hand and may just solve the issue. I am lighter than your specs but at 5100rpm ( yama250, 15 1/2 x 17 SS prop) the speed is in 40 mph range. At 4000 to 4100rpm she cruise nicely at 30 mph.

    gas....?.....?

Most likely you have your answer by now. I have filled with 87 and Stalbil Marine (blue) and Yamaha Ring Free. 89 oct or if you have a Valvtec fuel marina is good too. It will be hard to really find a really big difference in performance and I still run the Ring Free and Stabil Marine. 87 with...

I was nicely surprised when I headed to check the boat tonight. Looks like great neighbors for the season. There is one more down the dock that is 5 total , or 6 if the Harbor Master's counts too. :mrgreen

    Fuel shut off ?

? for Warthog, can I just add the shut off without taking our the anti siphon tap in the tank? I was thinking of just a simple in line shut off.
